help reqd for pharyngitis

dear friend,
in january, i was diagnosed as having laryngitis with all the associated symptoms such as dry cough, fever etc. after about 4 weeks, i consulted another doctor who said that my condition was more resembling pharyngitis i have taken 3 courses of antibiotics till now. currently i am taking paracetamol and mefenamic acid tablets. i still have difficulty speaking and feel irritation around the adam's apple. i am not sure if my condition is caused by a viral or a bacterial infection.
i need help regarding the medication and treatment measures.
plz reply.

srgo.... If your not improving locate an Ear Nose and Throat (ENT) physician, Ideally one associated with a teaching/university hospital. Chronic pharyngitis accounts for about 20% of the new patients an ENT sees. You really cannot share enough information here to obtain useful input. You are not alone. This does occur and an ENT should be able to help out.
