Nothing works!

Post a new topicby Guest on Wed Jul 11, 2001 12:47 pm

I've had seborrheic dermatitus on my scalp for a number of years. I have tried everything: coal tar shampoos and gels; salicylic acid shampoos; tea tree oil shampoos; cortisone creams; aloe vera gels; Dovanex ointment; Nizoral shampoo. All with absolute ZERO results. It's now spreading to my eyelids and ears. I've had a biopsy on the scalp for diagnostic purposes. I've seen two dermatoligists that just prescribe useless and expensive medications. I can't believe in these times of medical miracles that we don't have a cure or even an understanding of the cause of this miserable disease. Can anyone help? There must be something out there that actually WORKS. Apologies for the bad attitude but I've grown so weary of the expensive products on the market that fail miserably.

I understand your frustration. Sounds like you have tried it all. How about trying a homeopthic or Oriental Medicine approach. Ask for recommendations from a friend. You might get results from that approach, since the other stuff has not been successful.

Can you be more specific about "Oriental Medicine"? Will it cost an arm and a leg like all the other treatments? I'm skeptical as you can tell.

There is actually a degree called doctor of Oriental Medicine. I do not know how much it will cost. They are trained in naturla remedies. In my opinion it is worth a try.
