I just read your note and could have written it myself given my own experiences with my son. I hope the sweat test came back negative. We went through the same routine. My son was on antibiotics 9 months out of the year to contol the coughing (it did only briefly - once off, the cough came back). We had his adenoids and tonsils removed over a year ago and he has not been on an antibiotic since. He still gets the cough periodically but it goes away in a few days without antibiotics. He still uses the nebulizer. I am still in search of something that will provide relief from the bouts of coughing -- he barks the night through and often coughs until he vomits - poor little guy.
